The workflow

Three steps. One iPhone.

No mailers, no plaster, no expensive scanner. Capture and measure the foot with the iPhone's TrueDepth camera, prescribe the zones, and print same day.

Step 01

Scan with the iPhone you own.

Our app uses the iPhone's TrueDepth front camera to build a 184,000-point mesh and auto-measure the foot — arch height, length, heel pitch — at better than 0.5 mm. No foam box, no plaster, no expensive scanner to buy.

Step 02

Prescribe the zones.

Set firmness zone by zone in Rx Studio — soft forefoot, posted arch, firm heel — and dial Shore values from 30A to 60A. Add medial or lateral posting with a drag. Every adjustment renders live on the model.

Step 03

Print it in-office, same day.

Send the file straight to the in-office printer. A pair builds in flexible material at better than 0.2 mm resolution and is ready the same day — no remakes mailed back and forth.

Why 3D

The lab used to live somewhere else.

Traditional orthotics mean impressions in the mail, lab markup, and a patient who comes back weeks later. In-house 3D scanning collapses all of it into one appointment.

Traditional lab

Mail it out, wait it out.

2–3 week turnaround — foam boxes and plaster casts shipped to an off-site lab.
$80–140 per pair in lab fees, before your margin.
Remakes ship both ways — every adjustment is another week lost.
No chairside control — the prescription is interpreted by someone who never met the patient.
The lab owns the data — scans and files live outside your practice.
3DScanOrthotics

Scan, print, fit — same day.

Same-day turnaround — scan in-office and fit the finished pair the same day.
~$2 per pair in material — the rest is margin you keep.
Adjust and reprint in-office — iterate in minutes, never ship anything.
No scanner to buy — scans run on an iPhone you already own.
You own every scan and Rx — patient data stays in your practice.
Two ways to deliver

Print it yourself, or let us print it.

Run the whole lab chairside, or scan in-office and have us print and ship. Same scanner, same Rx Studio — you pick the fulfillment that fits your practice.
